"Trendy Little Street"
Frederick Street is becoming a more popular place to live in Burnie as it is slightly out of town with extradinary views of Bass Strait. Frederick Street is close to the highway but does not have loud traffic noise like other streets in Ocean Vista. The houses in this street are build around the 1960's and are slowly being renovated to hip and trendy houses for young couples and retirees.
If you are heading towards Somerset or coming back from Wynyard be sure to stop in at Frederick Street to experience the quiet and beautiful views of Ocean Vista Beach.

"Where is Waratah"
Waratah is a very cold and isolated town. There is no longer a school here and hardly any shops or things to do. The advantage of Waratah is that the blocks and houses are extremely CHEAP! I have seen blocks for sale for under $1000.
This is a nice place to be if you like snow, paddocks and you dont have to work. Good for someone with lots of cash and nothing else to do.

"Big Bad Burnie"
Burnie is a seaside city with everything you need, and nothing you want. There is everything you need for day to day living, and it isn't too much hassle to drive to Launceston if you want to do bigger shopping. There are plenty of good resturants and many things to do and see.
I have lived there for nearly 20 years. Its a nice place to be.
Great for
- Cheap
- Not too busy
- Everything you need
Not great for
- Shorewell
- Skaterboarders and smokers hanging outside Kmart building
