Roxburgh Park

"Seems ok so far!"

Close to amenties, such as Safeway, Roxy Hotel and shops, not far to Broady town centre etc. Lots of gyms I notice around.
A few parks around, bit far from my place though as are bike tracks for kids.
A lot of noisy cars-tyres screeching late at night and during the day and too many cars and trucks parked in front of houses, some dumpy cars with overgrown grass parked on nature strips spoil area.
Getting out of the suburb almost makes you car sick just driving out as the roads are shocking, too many turns as not enough main roads.
Traffic is shocking in mornings down pascovale road to barrys rd from 8am-ish and after work. Seems to move better after there.
Don't hear many dogs barking which is great.
I like it but miss where we used to live with a big park next door and quiet.

Get used to the hoons doing burnouts, the car smashes, vandalism and graffiti because this suburb is rife with it. Used to be a nice area but every public amenity has been destroyed by the vandals and morons who couldn't give a crap that this is the suburb they live in. Living in Iraq would be safer!!

Too dangerous for teenage girls to walk through after dark. Rapes, stabbings, bashings and robberies are the norm in this god forsaken suburb!!

Wow, I can't believe the positive things people are saying about Roxburgh Park.. I lived there for 2 years and the amount of crime was unbelievable. The way people drive in the residential streets is a joke. Mine and my partners' cars were both egged in the duration and it wasn't uncommon to drive past cars with smashed windows. As a young woman even a trip to the supermarket was laden with unnerving stares and in comparison to the Eastern suburbs where I grew up this experience was unfamiliar and unwelcome. The streets are rife with stray cats and the playgrounds are vandalised and inhabited by intimidating, young adults who use language which could not be considered child friendly in the slightest.

Police presence was unheard of and would no doubt have improved the environment ten fold.

I hope that others' have a more pleasant time living in Roxburgh Park.
