"Location, Location, Location"
Lovely quiet street that is soooo handy to everything - Main Street, Supa IGA, Doctors, Physiotherapist, Dentist, Ambulance, short walk to schools and parks.

"Great little town with big heart!!"
Oakey is a great small town with everything you need - great Supa IGA supermarket, Foodworks, Fuel, Post, Restaurants, Cafes, Newsagent, Hairdressers, Primary and High Schools, Parks and friendly locals.
For anything that isn't available in Oakey, Toowoomba is a short 20 minute drive away!
Great lifestyle for singles, families, retirees.

Everywhere is crime ridden. Australia is no where near as bad as the big cities in the USA. Live anywhere overseas and youll know that most of Australia is paradise.

Your comments sound more like a local real estate agent and no town is suited for every type of person. Upon visiting this town I found no transport available eg: buses or trains, over $50 for a cab fare to Toowoomba, so I imagine that to live in this town you would have to own a car or have access to one.So, if you would be elderley I can not imagine living in this town unless you had imediate family. This is why after consideration Toowoomba was a much better option for value for money when it came to facilities.
