"Good area - but serious traffic issues and it stinks"
I have been living in Lyndhurst for the last five years. I really like the lakes, park, ovals and the local shopping area. The people are nice. However, there are some serious issues with the area. Number one in my opinion is the traffic. Thompsons Road, Boland Road, Evans Road, Lynhurst Blvd etc all have serious bottlenecks, and the traffic hardly moves during peak hours, and the estate is very porous to all this traffic, especially to the one connecting Thompsons Road to Western Port Hwy. The Second issue is the frequent, sometimes unbearable, stink in the area. Also, there are no buses. The area seems neglected by the authorities dealing with these issues.
