Bluegum Rise curves up to the top of a hill and the views and outlook from here is just stunning. Because this is cul de sac road, it is a very quiet and safe location. A big bushland park with walking tracks and an abundance of wild life, is part of this street.
Wallabies, deer and an a myriad of bird species also call this street home. Curlew birds and ducklings were spotted here recently. The Priors pocket koala colony is a close by neighbour and so are the horse and cattle properties adjacent to the Brisbane river, only 500 metres away.
The Anstead Bushland reserve offers picnic and barbeque spots and different tracks to an outlook point, quarry and the Brisbane river. The annual "Art in the park" event was held here recently
On Saturdays residents buy their fruit and vegies from the local farmers market about 1km away. Friendly neighbours meet at dusk when going for a walk to watch the sun set over the mountain ranges in this great estate
