Emmett Street

"Quiet, friendly street, great estate, bay breezes"

Part of Bayfields estate when built, it is rare that houses come up for sale since the area is so settled. The public park has swing, slide, tennis wall etc although the open area is a little rough. It's always a degree or two cooler than most other parts of Brisbane in the summer and is central to lots of shops, such as Wynnum Plaza, Carindale, Capalaba etc. Handy to the gateway, cheaper than Manly but just as close to the bay, where you can pop down in the evening to grab some fish and chips and watch the seagulls. The street doesn't particularly go anywhere so it's quiet, although the occasional idiot goes a little too fast down the hill at times. Underground power, lots of trees, reasonably wide road, no footpath/pavement/sidewalk but that's ok. Very few dogs, most people get on well with their neighbours, it's hard to think of a bad thing to say about this street.
