Forest yes and that is why people move there ! it is just beautiful.Housing commision yes there is a SMALL area on the out skirts of town it is definately NOT SURROUNDED by houseing commission.
It is a lovely small communitee who are currently fighting to keep it that was while big business want to build hundreds of cheap nasty small houses and good on the residents for wanting to keep it the way it has been for many years.

Sally Tom. Where and when did you actually live here? Going by your stars, you gave: 1 star for peace and quiet (did you live inside a bin at Barker's transport? Well of course it's noisy there, but that's not all of Woodend); 1 star for clean and green (if you didn't live in Barker's factory, maybe you were crawling around inside a cubbyhouse at the local rubbish tip, well of course it's a bit grubby there); 1 star for internet access (I just hope you know what a computer is and how to turn it on); 1 star for neighbourly spirit (you sound like a loner - Nigel no mates), 2 stars for PARKING! Repeat that - 2 stars for PARKING! Are you joking? Your stars and comments are way out and deserve removal if possible. And for engaging in deception, you should be locked up as you are a danger to the community.

Well said Jake. Due to a work transfer we have been forced to move but i can tell you we would be back in woodend in a heart beat ! Best place we have ever lived, and one day we WILL be back.
Maybe Tess should try a few other towns where you cant even go to a doctor without paying $3 for 1/2 hour parking ! I NEVER had an issue with parking, even fresh water bowls outside for the local and visiting doggies (4 legged type doggie :-) ) and you are right i think Tess comments are some sort of "having a go at Woodend" dont know why but as you said totally undeserved.

Fairly sure this review is for the wrong woodend or is rubbish. Also recommended for students when the closest Uni is an hour away?! Report...
