Manly Vale

"Manlys quieter, understated sister that enjoys all the benefits of living near the beaches minus the crowds and the noise."

We've lived here for 7 years and have seen the suburb change from mainly older demographic to young families and professionals. It's great value for money (compared to Seaforth, Balgowlah and Manly). And the blocks of land are large. Easy access off Condamine Street for city buses and schools.
We live near Manly Dam and love it. It's super quiet at night and during the day reasonably quiet too. There's increased popularity with people using dam on weekends and mountain bike riders but you can always get a park outside your house. Theres been mention of no nightlife - all true - Manly is a $10 cab fare away. There is couple of good coffee shops walking distance now which is great and lovely public school - all within walking distance. So if your considering surrounding suburbs don't dismiss Manly Vale. When my husband said we should look here to buy I said no... Thinking the suburb was mostly units - not even knowing about the little hidden pocket near the dam...we saw our house and the husband had already written a deposit cheque before he got thru to the back door! It's a great place to live.
