Royal Park

"Bad Redevolpment"

Royal Park is full of trust homes, but unlike other suburbs that demolish these and build beautiful new homes, the council here let anyone and everyone build absolute rubbish. Cheap plastic looking houses built by developers to make a quick buck, it really looks awful.

Other things to consider, the crime here is, to be honest, RAMPANT. nothing seems to be done to remedy this. Parking and traffic is pathetic, and the noise level from all the industry that is here isn't that great either.

Thank you by the way 'NinoMicic' your comments have absolutley no validity as you are an estate agent and as such, any views you have on the matter are probably biased by a house you probably have for sale in the area. This view is from some who actually lives here.

Great for

  • Close to beach

Not great for

  • AAMI stadium & parking-commuting issues
  • Not very safe
  • Parking / traffic on footy days
  • Shady characters - crime
  • Too industrious

Who lives here?

  • Retirees

Hi Sonja,
Thank you very much for your comments.
I totally understand that everyone has their on opinions and reasons for them.
Just out of interest Sonja yes I am a Real Estate Agent who sells property in the area, however i was brought up in the area and I do have friends and family that live in Royal Park currently and have never said a bad thing about the area.
Most if not all the trust homes have been knocked down and redeveloped over the last few years and and those so called "cheaply built" homes are selling for fantastic money.
The astute buyer will see the potential and realise that it is a good location and across the road from West Lakes, 10 minutes from the beach and with easy access to the CBD.

Sonja's review is totally inaccurate, as she says Royal Park is full of trust homes. The trust homes are barely there anymore, there are probably a dozen left, and are only in Risely ave, Allan st and Amos way. The rest of the suburb is full of mostly 60's and 70's brick homes, built by Europeans typically polish when they settled in Royal Park. Half of the houses are on full size block the other half are not. I am yet to see plastic houses in Royal Park, or anywhere for that matter, but I am sure Sonja has seen flying pigs in Royal Park too.

The opinions expressed within this review are those of the individual and not those of Homely.com.au.
