Thornleigh

"amazing suburb for growing families"

Thornleigh is on the Northern train line, 2 stops from Hornsby. There's a direct rain to the city (50minute commute) and a big Park & Ride carpark next to the station. It's the most underrated suburb on the Upper North Shore, surrounded by more expensive suburbs like Wahroonga, Normanhurst, Pennant Hills and Westleigh.
Shopping is convenient- Thornleigh Marketplace has Woolworths, Dan Murphys, fish shop, butcher, PO, Chemist, Nail salon, Travel Centre & Aldi. Hornsby Westfield is 10 minutes by car if you need more specialty shops.
Schools are amazing- 3 public primary schools serve the suburb, Normanhurst West, Thornleigh West and Normanhurst Public. Turramurra High and Pennant Hills High are also in the zone, as well as selective schools Hornsby Girls and Normanhurst Boys. A range of private schools are also on offer, Barker, Knox, Abbotsleigh, Loreto Normanhurst, Wahroonga Adventist, St.Leos just to mention a few.
I have never felt so safe moving my young family to this suburb. People are so friendly, the streets are surrounded by trees. It is the most amazing place to be bringing up a family!
