"Varsity Lakes - So close to your neighbours you may as well live in an apartment building"

I have recently moved to Varsity Lakes after living in apartment buildings for several years. Although I was hoping buying a house would rid me of the issues related with “close neighbours”, it has in fact accentuated it, and now without the ability to use body corporate or building management as an in between. You will find your new home in Varsity will be accompanied by 2 or more air conditioners that will back onto your property, guaranteeing not a wink of sleep as these things rattle and hum all night long and in some cases 24 hours a day..... and I thought everyone was crying about expensive electricity now!? Regardless of being told it is a quiet neighbourhood Varsity is riddled with people who have no regard for their neighbours and happily party away into the night playing loud noise, talking and laughing up to 3 nights a week. And no, they are not Bond Uni students. Varsity is overrated and overpriced. You pay too much for small blocks of land. Look in Robina or somewhere where your house has some land size and your neighbours are not in arms reach.
