Margate
"Fell in love at first sight"
We have lived in Margate for just over 12 months and moved away from the city (enoggera) after falling in love with the peninsula. Margate was the ideal option for us after many months of research as it blended the convenience of multiple shopping options, a quiet lifestyle and proximity to both public transport and the beautiful Moreton Bay. Margate is nestled between the a more bustling Redcliffe and the scenic Woody Point and we could not have chosen a better place to raise a young family.
Great for
- Shopping options and opening hours
- Freindly 'country town ' atmosphere
- Location suited to all (families, singles, proffessionals and retirees)
Not great for
- Could do with a pub close by (but redcliffe is just a stumble away)

Yes you could although if you need to go to the city often you will need to take buses and/or train from sandgate, there is a new rail link being put in but that will go from north lakes via Petrie
