I have lived in Rivervale for 24 years and love it. It is so close to the CBD, it is almost an inner city suburb. It takes me 5 minutes max to drive to my work in East Perth. Plus a taxi ride from the middle of the city is approx $14. There are some lovely parks and great schools. However on our street there is a brothel & quite a lot of state housing which does get a little noisy at times. As long as you have a reasonable alarm system installed you should be fine. I would reccommend getting a dog as this does help a lot with break ins

The belmont security patrol does look after Rivervale as well and they are very prompt if you report any kind of problems. Love the area dont love the bogans.
