Bongalong Street

"Quaint street, community garden and lots of kids"

Bongalong Street is the best street in Naremburn. This little street is not only a short walk to the shops, bus stop and train, it is full of great people. Kids play on the footpath with each other and visit each other's homes. There is a Bongalong Street email that is regularly used - whether it be to let neighbours know about an excess of food from the community garden at the bottom of the street, or about someone offering up some sort of food, furniture or kids books, clothes etc. Each year there is a Christmas party that everyone goes to. The only issue that ever causes strong debate is which coffee shop has the best coffee - Cream, Forsyth's or Sprout, which are all 4 or 5 minutes walk away. I personally say Cream by a whisker. That said, Forsyth's is always open on Christmas Day for 1 hour in the morning which allows everyone to have their hit! At Easter time, the best hot cross buns on the planet are baked at Delicia Patisserie (aka Martin's Bakery). If you want a quite little street full of community and close to the village of Naremburn, this is the place.
