I have lived in Richmond for 8 years- first in North Richmond then Richmond Hill. It has all the services you could possibly need, and an excellent range (budget and taste) of eating and drinking opportunities. It’s access to the CBD, sporting precinct and SE suburbs is amazing through train/trams/short Uber. Shopping opportunities unfortunately fading with increasing vacancy of retail on Bridge Rd. It’s let-down is the inevitable close confines of living whether in a house or apartment, so that noise (late night noisy neighbors or day time construction) is an issue. I’ve loved my time here.
