Carnegie
26th September 2024

"One of the best hidden gems!"

We moved into the area about 7 years ago, and while we’d lived only a couple of suburbs away, hadn’t paid much attention to Carnegie as it’s somewhat tucked away in between larger more prominent suburbs.

Only after stumbling into the area have we come to realise how amazing it is! The suburb has something on offer for everyone - great primary schools, top performing private and public secondary schools, several healthcare providers, multiple supermarkets and local grocers, shopping precinct, great cafes and a plethora of unbeatable restaurants!

From a sporting perspective, the area is fortunate to have 3 cricket clubs, a footy club, a soccer club, lawn bowls, basketball club, multiple gyms and fitness centres, and a massive community swimming pool and recreation centre (in the middle of the suburb) which is being redeveloped and scheduled to reopen in late 2024.

It’s a really family friendly area, bustling with young and older families, professionals and students, as well as new immigrants.

Carnegie has a real community feel about it, with low crime rate and an overall great vibe!

Accessibility is also great. There are multiple modes of public transport available including tram, bus and train (express line to the CBD reaches in under 18 minutes). Chadstone shopping centre is also only about 5 minutes away.

If you’re able to afford getting into the suburb, there’s a very slim chance you’d ever want to leave. It’s no wonder that there’s a shortage of new listings on the property market.
