Ok, here's the deal about Zetland from someone that's done tonnes of Sydney research on it and lived all over the Eastern Suburbs. By June 2014, Zetland will be in Australia's top ten vibrant, modern, young and safe hubs to live (massive call) - so get in and buy now because you will only gain on your investment. Closness to the city is the key here and you're not all that far from the beaches either - circa 5 k's to city and beach. It's incredibly safe and very, very modern. A $300 million super market development is being built at East Village on Defries Avenue, which will be one of the most modern Coles in Australia.

Now, here's the problem. There is a fairly large building site so you need to be patient, but once completed, this place will be really cool. You're near Surry Hills for great bars, motorway access if you want to go West or North, close to Airport, good city bus lines, train lines, close to lot's of great cafes i.e Dank St, Waterloo, Surry Hills, Grounds in Alexandria etc, etc and Supermarkets. It's an 18 buck cab ride into the CBD. If you look at the alternative suburbs in Sydney, you will not get a better deal without paying way overs.

Do you really want to pay 700 to 750k for a 2 bedder in Bondi that was built in the early seventies with Backpackers using all the parking spaces ??
