"Next suburb to gentrify"
The comments below surprise me. I live in Ardeer which is quite literally 6mins down the road but I shop in sunshine, go to the movies and eat some bloody great and cheap Vietnamese in the high street. Yes there's some ratbags hanging about the train station but I've seen worse in the city. There are so many commuters in and out of sunshine these days that I've never felt unsafe, even waiting for a bus after the metro. There are some shitty housing parts but there are also really nice streets. My hubby and I commute to the city everyday and most days pass through sunshine. It's a multicultural hub and super close commute to the city which is the exact reason it will sky rocket on housing prices just like Footscray did many years ago. Watch this space ✌
