"Nice community, but the raised railway line is an eyesore."
Visited there recently, having lived in the area previously years ago.
The shopping strip is great. The beach even better. But, oh my....... that new raised railway line. What on Earth were the planners thinking?

"More trains please"
As others have said, its an amazing and welcoming country town. A hidden gem. Want to move back. I just need a few more trains to and from the city. Its only an hour away. Come on Mitchell Shire, more trains please!
Only other negative, is the shopping. The supermarket is bad. Its really bad.

Would love to live here, but its just a touch too far away to commute 2-3 times a week.

Lets be honest, its not a great place to live. Nothing here apart from new builds and soulless roads to nowhere.
Kilmore, Heathcote Junction, Broadford, Wandong, even Whittlesea all have more.
Also, how long until Hidden Valley tries to become a separate place?
On the positive side, its close to Melbourne and a train station nobody can walk to.
