I've owned a couple of properties in Harris Park and have known the area for the past 5 years. You name the facility or service and it is available in this suburb. It is only 5 minutes walk from Parramatta so you can get to everything within a few minutes. There are a couple of medical centers, chemist, post office, supermarkets, restaurants, parks, school within a very close proximity. It is perfect for families and singles. I lived there for several months and I found it very safe and quiet.
The best advantage of living in Harris Park is that you are living only 5-10 minutes from Parramatta however you can buy a property for a lot less (NOW), however I don't think that this will be the case in the near future if you analyse all the western suburbs that are close to Parramatta. It is great for the investors as the most tenants are families so they are peaceful and always look after the property. P'matta council have started a free shuttle bus service that runs between P'matta and Harris Park - a great facility to integrate the areas with P'matta.

Overall I would recommend Harris Park to anyone who wants to live near a big city like Parramatta
