North Rocks

"Perfect place to call home!"

North Rocks is a very peaceful, green, safe, and convenient suburb. It has something for everyone. It’s surrounded by various reserves, lined with old growth spotted gum and blackbutt trees. We’ve lived here since 2019 and I have to say winter and autumn are my favourite seasons here. Something about the crisp morning air and aroma of firewood in the neighbourhood is simply lovely.
I've really enjoyed working from home during covid as well. It’s a lovely neighbourhood to walk around in, beautiful homes on large lots (typically 700-1000m2) and the reserves and walking trails are well-maintained. There’s a nice neighbourhood spirit here, people stop to say hi and I've made many friends by just walking the dog! Some of the people living here are the original owners since this suburb was first developed and it’s fascinating to hear the history. There is a real sense of pride/love for living here. All the homes are well kept and people make an effort in their gardens! The streets are safe and quiet and I see a lot of kids walking around on their own and riding bikes. Mountain biking through the various trails in the reserves seems popular and Bidjigal Reserve behind Lara Crescent is a popular spot for rock climbers.
Super convenient lifestyle. I was so surprised how easy it was to park and shop at North Rocks Shopping Centre. Has all the shops you need and is never too busy in my opinion compared to other centres. It has recently been renovated and lots of new cafes and restaurants are opening. North Rocks is well positioned in that it connects to some major roads easily (Pennant Hills Road, North Rocks Road, James Ruse Dr, Northconnex, M2, M4). 10 mins to Castle hill, Epping/Eastwood, Parramatta. 20 minutes to North Shore and 30 mins to the city. Makes it super easy getting around Sydney.
I work in the city and commute by the Hills bus via the Barclay Rd M2 bus interchange. Buses come every 2 minutes and takes about 25 mins to get to city otherwise around 35-40mins during peak hour. There are also direct buses to Parramatta, Macquarie, and North Sydney.
We have NBN at North Rocks and its fast and reliable. Lots of young couples and families like us moving in and its exciting to see the suburb continue to grow and develop. North Rocks public school ranks in the top 40 in the state and has great OC classes. Plenty of extra-curricular for the kids (and adults) to get involved with. There are facilities for tennis, swimming, soccer, martial arts, dancing, golf etc. Overall, I am happy to call North Rocks our forever home and highly recommend it to others to consider!
