Akaroa is a suburb of St Helens on the sunny East Coast of Tasmania. Well known for fishing, bike trails, eating out, beaches, camping and sand dunes. Beautiful place to holiday and explore.

"Great Trout Fishing"

30 minutes up the Lake Highway from Deloraine, in the centre highlands, home to the best trout fishing in Tasmania. Great spot for a Sunday outing, take the family to the snow in winter and great camping in summer, and why not drop into the Great Lake Hotel for a delicious home cooked meal.

"Beautiful Mole Creek"

Friendly little country town, just 20 mins from Deloraine.
Home of King Solomons Cave and Marakoopa Caves, well worth a look! . Why not pop into the Mole Creek Hotel, famous for its counter meals and the Tassie Tiger Bar.

"Escape to the Country"

As you enter the town of Meander, you are greeted with breath-taking views of mountains and lush farming land. Be sure to visit the local café and get yourself a delicious, hearty home cooked meal. The Meander Dam is a very popular place to visit for BBQ's, swimming and fishing. If you're up for a challenge the Meander Falls will tick that box, 10km return walk climbs through beautiful wet forest to one of the most spectacular waterfalls in Tasmania.

"Farming Community"

Exton is a quiet farming community, just 5 minutes from Deloraine and Westbury. Situated on the Meander Valley Road. Beautiful views of Quamby Bluff and the Western Tiers. While the summer can reach up to 25 degrees, winters can be very chilly and be as low as -6.

Westbury

"Beautiful Small Town"

Westbury is approximately a 20 minute drive
to Launceston. The Westbury Village Green is a perfect spot for a picnic with beautiful maintained grass and a play ground for the kids, the Sailor Food truck also visits here for dinner every Wednesday.

"A Breath of Fresh Air"

Western Creek is nested right under Mother Cummings Peak. Ideal for anyone who enjoys bush walks, trout fishing or simply after piece and quiet. Only a short 20 minute drive to Deloraine and the local school provide school bus services.
