"Only 15 mins to CBD"
First myself and my husband purchased a house back in 2004, for investment reasons, when got got married, we decided to move into the investment property. Now after 3 years, living in Broadmeadows, i can tell you that we've had no problems, the freeway is at our door step, a shopping centre, gym, swimmingpools, cathlic scholl, fire bergaide, transport facilities, buses, trains, heaps of taxis at the shopping centre, you name it Broadie has it. Yeh Broadmeadows has had a bad reputation from the past, but it's cleared alot since then, and any how is there such a thing like a perfect suburb, NO, every suburb has it's good and bads, Craigieburn has street racings and bulagaries, assults, Essendon, Moonee Poonds and Ascot Vale, are known for crims that live in the areas, which have made it to the news, Epping has alot of people on drugs, just visit the Northern Hospital, in the emergency department, that's were you'll see them.At the end of the day, no one or any body can really judge a suburb, todays day and age, every suburb is pretty much the same. But i'll tell you something Broadmeadows is were the money is, prices hav e risen over 200 % in the last decade, and it's still going to rise, why, it's already in high demand for house, unnits and old houses on large blocks, give it another 5 years, wouldn't surprise me if it reachers to North Melbourne prices, you'll see.
