Woodford

"The Real Woodford"

The real Woodford is a growing town that has retained its country atmosphere. With a petrol station at D'Aguilar (still counted as many as part of the greater Woodford area), a number of personal trainers, small boutique gyms and a new 24/7 gym coming to Wamuran (on your way home). This is certainly a great place to live. You can safely walk around your block, if its a evening walk you want or if you're community minded - why not join one of our community groups, The Bush House, Lions, RSL sub branch, Queensland Folk Federation (Folk Festival), Visitor Information Centre, there are also Scouts, Community Bus and many other groups that look after our wonderful community and with a new Mens Shed at Wamuran there are many groups to be involved in along the Moreton Bay Hinterland. Look lets be honest there are no great employment opportunities in Woodford itself however many drive to Caboolture and beyond and lets be real do we actually want a huge industrial area anyway. Along the same lines there are only two buses a day to Caboolture so public transport isn't great this is probably the reason only "bad kid stuff" happens not the bashings, knifings and holdups you hear about regularly in other parts of the state. This is a great place, that is safe to bring up kids, get out into the yard and involved in the community.
