Thornleigh
16th July 2026

"Great suburb, safe, leafy and friendly community"

Thornleigh is for families that desire privacy and a sense of space. It’s one of the few remaining Sydney suburbs where you can still buy a large block of land and not be surrounded by ugly McMansions. If you’re a fan of bush outlook homes or large midcentury modern homes, you can find them here. There are also older properties that are on the lower end of the market that are just waiting for someone to renovate them.

The schools are fantastic with both public and private schools at your doorstep (Normanhurst West, Loretto, Abbotsleigh and Barker).

Public transport is also well sorted with ample parking at the train station and a reasonable commute to the CBD.

Plenty of bushwalks and parks nearby. Depending on which side of Thornleigh you’re in, proximity to cafes is also good with Normanhurst Village and Wahroonga Village about 5-8 minutes driving distance.

The only downside is the quietness, it’s not for everybody. But if you like that - you’re unlikely to leave.
