Northcote Road

"Leafy heritage street with many schools, shops, cafes and restaurants close by"

Our street is leafy and green. It's a heritage street so there are some lovely houses. Transport is terrific as Armadale station is at one end of the street and at the other end the street connects with Beatty Avenue where Toorak Station is located, as well as the cute shops and cafes of this little village. Even a small local butcher. Rose Street Gallery and cafe has a lovely courtyard. Trams close by on High Street. High Street and Glenferrie Road is where I do my Christmas shopping - yes there are expensive antique shops and designer boutiques but there are also lovely reasonably priced gifts in some of the other, wide variety of shops.
Our neighbours are friendly and we keep an eye out for each other's house. It can be noisy at school pickup time, but the weekends are surprisingly quiet. Early evening can be a nuisance if Joels have an auction and street parking is all taken up by their patrons.

Houses can be expensive here due to the many schools located in the area. We have Armadale Primary in our street which has been there for more than 100 years.
