Bargara

"Nice, but overpriced!"

I have lived in quite a few suburbs around Bundaberg including Bargara but Bargara is way over rated and overpriced. There are some bad areas to avoid and not buy and the people are not friendly and can be quite hostile ( truth from personal experience).

I got fed up with the hoons around the streets of bargara at night and the undesirables who wander around at night looking for trouble. Remember the saying…"Bargara nice place to visit but i wouldn't want to live there" !!

just like your comments on other areas..... completely untrue.
hoons & undesirables... hahahahahaha , u must be kidding, bargara is the safest, most pleasant place in the whole country.
u sound jealous of these beautiful coastal villages that u keep slagging off.

Are you serious ?? You cant be talking about the "Bargara" that I recent moved to ?? This place is amazing. My husband, 2 kids and I moved here in January and we are in love! I have not seen any of these 'undesirables', and 'hoons' that you speak of. Every person I have met here has been great, friendly and welcoming!

I strongly disagree with the negative comments here!

Bargara is a lovely, peaceful and friendly place - I don't know where the so-called "hoons" or "undesirables" are to be found. We have lived at Bargara for some time and can speak from experience: it's a wonderful place in which to live!

I lived there for 13 years and i know what you are talking about its the rental area
had three things stolen and graffiti on fence and hoons, also kids smashed street lights and set fire to the rubbish bin at the shop and kellys beach.

Innes Park

"It's a sandfly and mosquito nightmare"

I have lived at Innes Park once .....yeah never again, they just don't make a sandfly and mossie spray strong enough. Any one that tells you otherwise has never lived there.
Innes park is where all the sandflies breed.
It's a great place to live if you don't go outside especially at night.

Burnett Heads

"It's below average."

Hello !! Don't buy a investment property here unless you've been there for a look. Dont buy in low area's and be cautious of buying a lowset and check flood plans and most importantly for here do not forget to do pest and building inspection.
In the past fifty years I have seen Burnett Heads totally underwater numerous times, the only homes that use to be built there were on really high stumps, but besides from the flooding in early years Burnett Heads has changed little and certainly could do with a good tidy up.
Old messy shops and old messy streets and houses and way too far from town. Try swimming at the only swimming beach has muddy sand and the sharp stones hurt your feet.
I can't see growth here because it is isolated and there is nothing to draw the families.
Burnett Heads rates a big ugly yuk !!! and my kids give it a 2 out of 10.

I agre lived there for a while myself and alot of my family have lived there for over 20 years - there are only a few streets that collect water over near Sea Park Road. We hvae never had flooding in the streets near the school - if you like a quiet family lifestyle then this is the place to live

Cannot understand this review. Is the writer a fish as reckons it has seen the town underwater! The report on the beach is rubbish, muddy sand?, the sand is sandy sand, ha ha, you can go down on beach from nov to march and watch the turtles lay eggs and the hatchings come out and make their way to the see, all free of course, the shops, yes there are some old ones but now we have a new shopping complex, a new bridge that links the port and marina to the town. Lots of new houses being built, if youlike it like the gold coast then its not for you, if you like a small unspolit place to live, like to let your kids play safely in the parks and on the beach then its a pretty good place to be.

I have lived here for 10 years from Brisbane and gold coast originally. I have never seen flooding we didn't even have flooding when half of Bundaberg was underwater. Beach is gorgeous. Friendly town. Friendly well stocked shops post office pub clubs etc. wonderful place to live.

Coral Cove

"Best estate in Bundaberg"

Coral Cove is without a doubt the nicest, cleanest, quietest, most uncrowded housing estate in Bundaberg. I should know because I grew up in Bundaberg!
No hoons, no traffic, great for families ( we have 2 young children).
The houses are big and modern and very cheap. It's really not far to town or Bargara and we are surrounded by beautiful beaches.
Coral Cove golf course is excellent and once more people start to realise just how nice it is here it will boom!
Coral Cove has a foodworks supermarket and take away ( cheap chicken and chips) and a hair salon, golf clubhouse, bar & restraurant.
and beautiful palm lined streets.
Once the council approves the new 700 lot housing estate there will be heaps of shops etc. here is a world known dive spot and you can snorkel strait from the shore with lots of coral and fish to see. There is lots of walking and biking paths. The streets here are much wider than anywhere else in Bundy…..a great big thumbs up for coral cove.!!!
Property magazine latest issue june 2010 shows Coral Cove (10.02) having pretty much the same ave annual growth percentage as bargara.(11.62)
