West Ryde is a 30 min drive to Sydney City and Parramatta business districts and half that time to Macquarie Park. It's also accessible by bus and train. Being a stone's throw from the Parramatta river cycleway enables fitness and cycle enthusiasts to enjoy the river superloop that takes in beautiful river views and lots of open, green parks and recreational spaces. Meadowbank ferry is nearby for excursions by boat, and the ever Top Ryde City Centre & Macquarie Shopping Centre less than 15min away offer great shopping and dining options. I have lived in the area for 10 years and have never heard or witness any delinquency. It might have a grungy facade but it's a suburb with lots of potential, great offerings and a happy and cohesive community.
