Well, well Benjamin.....High class? you sound like a snob mate. trendy, stylish, elegant, classy, relaxed... keep it real!
The public transport is ok, especially the city cat. The locals who have been in the area for a long time are very genuine salt of the earth!
The "new money trendy crowd" lack a bit of class if you ask me. Just because you live in a fancy house and drive a European car doesn't make you classy!
Other suburbs are jeolous? Well maybe some people who live in other suburbs are jeolous. Some of the venues are ridiculously overpriced while on the other hand others are very reasonable like cafe citrus which is one of the best spots in Brisbane for a catch up with friends and a good value meal. The parks are great and the Oxford 152 has changed from a local slaughter house back in the day to a pub where beers are $10 a pop! The property market here is quite boom and bust, just ask all the buyers from 2009 what they think, lots realise they can't afford the "trendy" lifestyle so they are selling for a loss. But I suppose this is no different to many other affluent suburbs. The real estate agents in the area are mostly sharks! They talk the talk, drive around in BMW'S but wouldn't know what to do if you asked them a question about the world we live in. Ask about commission and they have all the answers. All in all, a really nice place with a real mixed bag of people and opportunities...something for everyone you could say!

agree with jayc. i love my mt gravatt home, bitta crime here and there, 12 km from the cbd but traffic is never that bad, no snobs here. way overrated as far as i know
