Harris Park

"Nice + Leafy suburb with plenty of History"

Rosehill is right next to Harris Park, Parramatta and near Granville.
Its location is good depending how close you live to the Parramatta/ Harris Park, as Rosehill’s train station you need to change at Clyde to get a City train.
Its has its own entry onto the M4 either way, city or west, and James Ruse drive leads you right into Parramatta and onto Pennant Hills Rd/ windsor Rd to get into Hornsby + up to the Cental Coast!
The streets are very leafy and there are plenty of Historical homes, including Elizabeth Farm.
It has its own shopping centre with Woolworths, Mc Donalds, KFC, Hooters, Rosehill Bowling Club, Subway, Sopranos (best pizza around!).
There is Rosehill Race Course which not only holds races but also expos!
It has 3 Daycares, and a Clown Town (kids play centre, very popular)
I have read recently that its more expensive to rent in Rosehill then to pay a mortgage, I guess they'd be basing that on the houses and new large units (restricted to 3/4 story), as the houses are more expensive in Rosehill then Parramatta i find, they have HUGE blocks too.
Rosehill is a nice suburb especially if you appreciate tree lined streets and period style homes + a backyard!

Harris Park

"`GREAT value for Money and the next BOOM suburb`"

Harris Park is an excellent entry point into real estate; it’s a nice little village which is literally a few hundred meters away from Parramatta Westfield and all the trendy Cafes and River without the hefty price tag to live IN Parramatta!
I'm very pleased with my investment in Harris Park and considered buying in Parramatta but didn’t feel I was getting value for money and could see it was inevitable that Harris Park being so close to Parramatta CBD that it would boom, and so it has started to now!
I love the fact I can walk a few mins into Parramatta, but not live amongst the towering high-rises and packed in units.
I love that I have Rosella Park right out the back which regularly hosts Markets and Fairs, and Christmas Carols.
People from all over Sydney travel to Harris Park to eat at the Indian Restraunts as they are some of the best, not to mention the Japanese restaurants and The Olive Greek restraunt which is packed on Friday and Saturday nights!
The Cafe on the corner is always full and adds a great atmosphere to the area, and they have great sweets and coffee!
Yes there was a time when we had a few riots here, with all the Indian students who live here, but that has been resolved and the riots were harmless, nothing or no-one was hurt...except my sleep for a night ;)
I believe if you want everything Parramatta has, but you want your space and NOT the higher price tag, then Harris Park `The Village` is the place to live + invest (hardly any vacancy rates here)
Rosehill Racecourse is just up the road and Rosehill shopping centre with Woolworths, so you dont have to go all the way into westfields and fight for parking to do your grocery shopping!
I rate Harris Park very highly, as its very convenient, without being too `city like` it has a `village feel` :)
