Moved here from closer to Brisbane with the hope to escape the hustle & bustle. Well, it turned out to be a dead end wrong turn. Completely AGREE 100% with any of the other truthful, negative reviews of this place - there is nothing but overpriced tavern, IGA, mozzies, centrelink recipients & mud here. Nowhere else to go without driving. After sunset, everything is shut. The two cafes are closed for months at a time. The "beach" - well hardly, rather the mudflats that are only used for those who let their dogs run wild. Don't even bother trying to have a nice stroll here you'll get mauled by a dog - no place for a swim or picnic. One end of town has horse crap & horse floats all over the park beach & car park - council and residents revel in it & do not care. Very disappointing place for what should and could be the most lovely along the coastline. Steer clear!
