North Rocks is a very nice place to live. It is very convenient to the city via M2. The buses come in 1 to 2 min during peak hours (you do not need a bus timetable!) and yet it is very convenient to Macquarie Park if you work in the business park or perhaps an uni student. There are some very nice houses which are back into a reserve providing a very peaceful and relaxing settings. Overall I think it is a great place to raise kids particularly with all the great school which people have already mentioned here.
