This is on of the few exceptional suburbs to live in. If you live here, own a home here or even rent here, then you have made one of the best choices in life. There are pockets which are extremely expensive and I actually dislike those areas because people tend to be very snobbish and it's a little 'cold' like certain parts of Toorak, Canterbury and Mont Albert. However, the other parts of Malvern East are exceptional, especially those closer to Chadstone side of town. People who live there are friendlier and down to earth and generally in better sharing and caring spirit. All in all, it's a great suburb whether you live within the multi-multi million dollar Gascoigne Estate / Central Park area or the other more down to earth parts. Entry level price tag is steep, having said that....
