We moved to OB in December 2024 and I'm blown away by how lovely and underrated this place is. I had no idea about the area before living here.

It feels like you are a long way from the city but is handy to everything. I work in the CBD and can be at Martin Place within 40 mins or so of leaving the house (train from Jannali takes just over 30 mins and buses from OB will drop you at the station).

The huge Westfield at Miranda is about 10 mins away, Kareela shops half that and Southgate in between. OB itself also has a couple of cafes, post office, bottle shop, pharmacy and newsagent.

Cronulla beach 20 mins away, Sutherland 5 mins, Jannali village also 5 mins and has pubs, restaurants and loads of coffee places. National parks close by too and even the airport isn't far.

OB itself is so peaceful with probably a central coast type vibe. A gorgeous suburb to walk or run around and fantastic water views to be had.

The fact a place like this is still relatively affordable by Sydney standards is amazing. The Shire's best kept secret!
