Beerwah

"Country feel Great for families"

Moved here in 2017 after living mostly in Brisbane suburbia. People are friendly and I found it easy to make friends with locals. Beerwah state school and Beerwah High have been great for my kids so far. Fantastic teachers and community school feel.
Beerwah has lots to offer for families, parks, swimming pool, skate park. I would like to see council put in more walking tracks or footpaths that can be accessed with a pram that have some shade and not on the busy roads.
We have good choice for groceries with Woolworths, Fresh & Save and Aldi. Plus a few local butchers fruit shops and farm stalls.
Amazing scenery anywhere you look. Majestic sunsets behind the mountains. So much green space for good mental health.

Woodlands Chicken farm and Food processing are very close to town and do omit a fowl smell some times. Mostly at night and it is usually worse through the winter. The chicken farm at the end of Pine Camp Road has 10 + sheds in a small vicinity that house tens of thousands of chickens that do produce a lot of smell. This is something that council will need to re asses in the near future as they continue to approve more high density housing in the surrounding areas. The smell can be that pungent and burning the nose that you have close all windows and move inside if the smell comes floating in. It is also noisy at night time with fans running. Apart from the industrial sized chicken farming going on a few kms from the Main Street of town, the place is absolutely perfect.

Spoilt with mountains to climb and creeks to swim in, close to the beach, the highway & train station for those who work in Brisbane.
