There is so much here for young families or professionals who want to feel like they're in the burbs but not far away from the city. Hendra has 3 large playgrounds within 5mins drive. We have gorgeous race horses walk by almost on a daily basis and the commute to work is within a 15-20min drive (peak hour) to the city. Where else can you get that in Brisbane? I've always felt safe here with a good community of people who actually know each other. Since we've moved here about a year ago they've slowly been knocking down or renovating old buildings so the streets have such a nice variety of architecture. For those wondering, Hendra is not in the main flight path so not noisy. I would only advise not to live on Nudgee road as it is quite busy as with any main road.

Great suburb where you won't need a car. I spend weekends walking to cafes, the new library and getting fit running/walking the beautiful river walkway up to Teneriffe. Markets are in walking distance as well as the famous playground that kids never get sick of. If you're looking for the stressfree lifestyle with a community of people who have recently moved to Brisbane as well long-standing locals.
