"Quiet convenience"
Nice quiet streets with friendly neighbours and tidy houses. A couple of schools to choose from in primary school, a couple of playgroups. New shops going in too. A few lovely parks. Very close to Rockhampton which has everything.

- Quiet but close to big centre of Rocky
Not great for
- Congested getting to Rocky in peak hour
- Childcare is a bit expensive
- No high school

Cobar
"Not for the family"
The best thing about Cobar is the people. The Preschool is wonderful but otherwise there is not alot to keep young kids entertained. Availability at the childcare centre is poor but the quality of care is not too bad. Don't try to eat out the options are not good and even takeaway pizza is over priced. If you are single or a childless couple and want a nice house in a nice street for a good price and want the mining money, Cobar is perfect.

There is now a fantastic dance centre with classes for girls, boys and adults. They also run discos for the kids.
