"Best Thing In York Is The Road Out"
Wind never stops, hot as hell and some of the shops staff are just rude, not good for tourist dollars. They say "first inland town" well it looks as though nothing has been done since the 1800s, the place is dirty and in a very poor condition as a result of disuse and neglect. Ironically an area of the town is over run with new houses being built that just looks absurd. Don't waste your holiday travel time coming here. Beverley and Toodyay are far friendlier and much nicer towns.

Damn I was thinking of going there but it doesn't sound like Miami or Los Angeles such a shame

I have to agree. The town looks dirty and some very unsavoury characters around the park area. Its clear it has become a bogan town seeing all the tyre burnout marks over a lot of the roads and then hearing these idiots from the caravan stop at night. We came to the conclusion that people who buy in or move to York can not afford to buy or move to the beautiful southwest towns. AVOID.
