"Small town where everyone knows everyone (and looks out for everyone)."
Plainview a great town to live in if you're wanting that small town feel. Homes are reasonably priced and there are all the normal conveniences one needs if wanting to move out of the big city and into a smaller setting. Local Theater brings people in, in addition to nearby winery and orchards. Just on the outskirts are many very pretty places to visit, hike, fish, etc.
Great for
- Grocery store, gas station, golf course, walking path
- Everything is within walking distance
- School pride is strong
Not great for
- Not particularly scenic walking/biking areas
- Job opportunities are limited and high end homes sell slowly
- Schools are combined which can be a pro or a con

- House lots are decent sized
- Downtown shopping and restaurants
Not great for
- More concerts and events for young adults

"Tree lined streets, on street parking, close to everything"
Elton Hills is a neighborhood that has reasonably priced homes with a nice neighborhood feel. Convenient location as it is between both Hwy 52 and Hwy 63 so everything is easy to get to.
Great for
- Close to Middle school and parks
- Attached garages
- Decent sized lots, homes are spaced apart
Not great for
- A couple of main roads to the neighborhood are busy
