I've lived in the Wynnum-Manly area my whole life... I love the place! The waterfront is a highlight, bringing the locals and visitors to it for a bbq, a picnic, or a walk by the bay. There are great parks for the kids, including a new water park, a heritage listed wading pool that's over 120m long, and plenty of fish and chip shops for a good feed! Wynnum has an abundance of coffee shops, even including a dog friendly one! There are 3 train stations running through Wynnum, and regular council buses. There are great sporting facilities and teams, and great schools, both public and private. Every suburb has some negatives. I guess for Wynnum the original shopping precinct of Wynnum Central could really benefit from a make-over, while retaining the quaint shopping experience you simply can't get in a major shopping centre.
