"Once you live there you never want to leave"

This is a great spot. It is pretty quiet around here with most of the neighbours being owners. There is some rentals maybe 10%. Walk to Garden City this is great - not too close but close enough to walk there. Shirley Strickland oval for the dogs and kids is nearby and easily accessible. Their is a good number of older people who are very watchful leading to a safe street. Because the neighbours own their houses there are quite a few dogs. You do have to be mindful that many of the residents are older so if you are too noisy they will get upset...this is 'loud party past 10pm noise' not children noise. The primary school for this street is Mt Pleasant which is a really nice school. Applecross High School is the public school for the area. Overall one of the better streets but houses do not come up for sale very often so if you can get one good luck.

"Families welcome - if you can afford to buy in"

This great suburb is sandwiched between Applecross and Mt Pleasant. Although it doesn't have the kudos of those areas, it has the same amenities. Suitable for families - if you can afford to buy in. There are excellent primary schools and a great public high school - Applecross. If you are into private schooling, there are bus services that can get you to most in the area - Wesley, Penhros, Santa Maria etc. If you love walking your pooch, Shirley Strickland oval is great, plus you can wander down to the river or Wireless Hill...there are plenty of options. The streets are quiet and leafy and Melville is starting to sink the powerlines so soon it will be even leafier! It is quiet though with not many pubs and no nightclubs - it is close enough to Perth and Freo so you can get your nightlife high in those areas. A really nice place to live but unfortunately houses are not cheap so if you can get in good luck.

"A very nice neighbourhood"

A quiet cul de sac with a nice neighbourly feel. The houses are well cared for and the gardens are neat and tidy. Walk to a small shopping centre with IGA open 7 days a week. Walk to Murdoch uni via a safe underpass. There is a petrol station open 24/7 nearby so if you run out of milk etc you can always walk there. Also very close to brilliant bus services. Schools are very good with a mix of private and public all with good reputations. It is a really great place to live.
