Richmond

"Richmond Rocks!"

I lived in Richmond for 4 years and never had any trouble! The only single spot that is shady is up on Victoria Street, on the Vietnamese strip where a small group of drug dealers hang, but police have wiped a lot of them out. Apart from that the whole of Richmond is pretty decent. My favourite spots would be Swan St and Bridge Rd. Great places to eat, I done loads of them and there is so much variety, you will never get bored. The Richmond recreation centre is great, and across from it is an oval where they also have sports, and it becomes a great dog park when not in use. There are some excellent bars and pubs to hop along on Bridge Rd, and further down on to Swan Street. You have Kmart at Victoria Gardens, which is classed as Burnley but less than 5 mins from Bridge Road, it also has a Hoyts Cinema there, which I used to frequent. The food court is also good and never too busy, nice and relaxing from the city chaos. There is 2 Coles and 1 Woolworths. Dr surgery and dentists, good hair salons etc. The people of Richmond are quiet and clean. I would move back here again if I ever return to Melbourne. It is so close to the city!
