Binnaway

"A great little town"

A friendly river front town with lovely locals and good amenities and rich in history, facilities of the town include ... an active progress association, 2x pool swimming complex, medical centre with visiting doctors, squash and tennis courts, IGA supermarket, newsagent, bowling club, rifle range, two pubs and much more at extremely affordable prices. Only a 15 minute drive from Coonabarabran and if you look at a map of the region you will see were in the centre of the areas bounded by the major regional cities of Dubbo/Mudgee and Tamworth, dubbo being 1hr 15 minutes drive west, Tamworth 1.5 hrs north east and Mudgee approx 1.5hrs drive to the south, Also we have a daily Country Link bus service which travels to Lithgow daily, the only thing we are currently lacking is a take away food shop (but is that a bad thing?)

Great for

  • Peace and quiet, bird watchers capitol of N.S.W also wildflower capitol of N.S.W, Castlereagh river (which dont flood in Binnaway)
  • Also were sitting on the edge of the great artesian basin (undergriound ocean of fresh water)
  • Large scale coal mining operations are being build throughout our region with loads of opportunity for teh future expected (for examples look at major centres inupper hunter, their chasing the same coal and wehre there is coal it booms, ie muswellbrook, etc

Not great for

  • No take away food
