Hoppers Crossing

"The Australian Dream!"

You cannot buy a nicely built house with a pool and a garden on a quarter acre block only 25 KM from Melbourne CBD for 800K in other suburbs. You can do so in the lovely Hoppers Crossing that has everything at your doorstep!

These days, in media - everyone wants the inner-city lifestyle, they push the apartment lifestyle aggressively. If people want houses and they go to a new house and land package they get small blocks as small as 280 SQM. With these small land sizes in the new estates, you have to build up. The double-storey houses are unsuitable for a family with young children or older people who dislike climbing stairs.

The Australian Dream used to be to own a 'Quarter Acre Block' in the suburbia. Own it outright. Then build wealth for retirement. If you can afford it, this is still the dream. However, the print media monopolised by the latte-sipping supposedly sophisticated 'elite' have an agenda to do away with the Australian dream. The main reason is no one can afford it these days. So, they pontificate on density and urge us for better urban planning and bulk our cities so, we all live on top of each other. No, thank you very much. I believe in choices. Give people the choice and let them choose what they want. Apartments, units, villas, duplex, townhouses all have their places. For me, personally, nothing beats a quarter acre block house with a garden, pool, outdoor entertainment! Your own land. Your own dirt in the sunburnt country is the dream. A dream that's so distant for so many these days.

Today, this Australian dream has become a luxury for so many young people. I would say, get it while you can. Hoppers Crossing is a suburb that is so under the radar. Buy in. You will not regret it.
