Avalon Beach
10th March 2026

"Avalon Beach Pittwater (peace and Zen near a City!)"

This is the 'chill' side of Avalon, how it 'used to be' is now. Pick the right street and you're shielded from the Southerlies and the harsh West heat of the afternoon. Best streets are alway cul de sacs. Try Capri Close, Wandearah Ave or somewhere elevated, yet not in shade, not in a gully, not down on the flats or the wetlands that flood, do your due diligence as even the village floods as it sits at sea level and the drains bank up.

Be pleased when you look up the crime stats for the area as it's one of the safest suburbs in Australia to live.

Look out for hidden walks through 'Public Land' to the stunning Careel Bay Marine, or cut through Cannes pedestrian short cut, down to Joseph street to the hidden elevated timber boardwalk over the wetlands (watch out for high tide as it floods) to the soccer fields, go to the dog park there at the Northern end or continue through crossing Barrenjoey Road to the wonderful Graze & Cakes, best coffee, spicy chai on Tiger Nut milk and grab some Banh Mi rolls or Tofu baguettes, a noodle salad or GF Vietnamese rolls...did I mention the cakes, worth the walk :)
AND if you're too tired to walk Keoride meets you on the corner of Wandearah for an on demand cheap trip down to the village.
