Kojonup

"Community minded town full of friendly and caring people"

Kojonup is on the Albany Highway a little over half way to Albany from Perth. It is a very wealthy district, well known for it's sheep and crop success. It has good soils and reliable rainfall and the farmers are very successful business people.

There is a big school that has recently been able to offer schooling from K- 12. My kids attended this school for many years and loved their time there, receiving a great education along the way! Kojonup is very sport oriented - golf, tennis, hockey, football, bowling, swimming, polocrosse and ponyclubbing are all well attended. Everyone is involved with sport in some way.

There are quite a few businesses in town - a large IGA and a Cooperative store. The Shire is a large employer and there are mechanics, auto electrician, farm machine repair workshop and smal clothing boutiques. A baker and a butcher and three cafes attract travellers to Albany.

Everyone gets to know you very quickly and there is a very active social life in Kojonup. If you get involved with the community in a small town it is very rewarding and people are very friendly and welcoming in Kojonup. You can pop down to Albany and Denmark for a swim in ocean. It is cooler in Kojonup than in Perth.

There are employment opportunities for tradespeople and labourers. If you have a trade or like working in gardens, cleaning, retailing, on farms - you will get a job in Kojonup.

Sell your expensive home in Perth and come down to Kojonup - you will love it.
