I have lived in Lismore for 5 years & I have noticed some positive changes since my arrival; more people moving in, the arts, cafes & decent food. The town offers pretty much what you need (major hospital, health professionals, supermarkets, farmer's markets etc) & there is a good sense of community. Not to mention it's not o far to major Northern River's attractions such as; Mount Warning, Byron, The Channon, Evans Heads & so forth.
Being a regional place it does have a slower pace (which can be good) but finding steady work (or sometimes anything) may be a little of a challenge. So be prepared & try to network. Other than that, the town has lots of potential!
