Woodville West

"A great place to live"

We have lived in Woodville West for 14 years and have found it an excellent place to live. My partner works in the city and catches the train to work which takes about 18 minutes saving a lot of time, hassle and money. The traffic is very quiet where we are on May street. This street contains a few new homes, but mainly older homes on large blocks of land. It's far enough from the train line, but close enough to walk to the Seaton Park or Albert park station from all areas.

They are now building a whole new development called the Square, which we were a bit skeptical of, but since almost all of the housing trusts homes have gone, the value of our property will only go up. The development should also bring some much better homes, parks and new shops.

Our neighbors are excellent and the general feeling of the area is good. West Lakes and Arndale shopping centers are within 7 minutes, the beach is only 10 minutes and town is less than 20 by train. The QEH is near by and a there are couple of schools, kindies and child care facilities in the area.

The suburb is older than some, but we would not live anywhere else as everything is at our finger tips. We are on a large 850+ Sqm block with a good house and for a large family of 6 + dog it works well for us. Hard to find that in the western suburbs these days for a good price and not be squished like a sardine.
