Fassifern Rd

"peaceful existance with an abundance of wildlife."

Fassifern road is a gorgeous community of colourful folk living in harmony. it is a no through road and we are fortunate to live at the end. our neighbours on both sides are helpful and very supportive and have become good friends in the 5 years we have lived here. our 3 small children are always facinated by the various koalas, wombats and walabies that wander by our home without too much concern. they are very lucky to have such a gorgeous playground. yes we have the odd snake or red back but we are living in the bush! luckily our two dogs tend to chase most of the snakes away.
it is green here all year long and the small community in highlands is a very close knit active group who are very passionate about the environment and their famous hi-arts festival. our eldest child attends the local primary school in highlnds. it has 24 students and is a buzz of excitement for the kids. they are a very close group of kids that have learnt to be very caring of eachother and their school.
our alternative style self sustainable living with combustion heating/cooking, solar power etc is common in these parts although the electiricy does reach to the first two houses on our road. a paradise of native bushland thats home to much more than us people.
