"Caloundra is and in particular Kings Beach the main surf beach is like a village within a village. If you live of kings beach once you park the car you can walk every where."
Kings Beach has no main highway and is like that little piece of the world that time forgot. Think the northern beaches of sydney but say 30 years ago. It is the nearest northern mainland surfbeach to Brisbane and an easy commute but Caloundra south is home to the University and major hosptial so have small town slow with convience and services.

"Perfectly located to cbd and airport another hilly character suburb."
Having lived here for a decade Windsor has all the pros and cons of a small country town in the city.
It is pretty the character homes are lovely, cafes are great it is really close to all that is great about Brisbane. 8 minutes by train from the city. Mostly good schools. close to the airport easy commuting north or south.
Locals are friendly but staid and this is where you get to the " just like a country town bit" there is a tendency for gossip, complaints over other peoples renos , low level interference. In some ways this is a good thing Im sure it minimizes the burglary rate. Its certainly is not a cosmopolitan hip sort of place. Pleasant would describe it.

"A Hilly leafy village"
Off all the suburbs Ive lived in Brisbane, Paddington is where my heart is.
I love getting of the bus which come every 7 minutes in peak hour and looking across the hill to the CBD in the distance and Mt cootha with a western sunset. We became a one car family was I could walk home from the local shops and get transport easily. The pretty timber heritage homes and the leafy streets make this suburb so so quaint. Friendly locals great child care / schools and shops.
